SUPPORTING OUR KIDS

through the Community Literacy Centers

The pandemic has resulted in learning loss for our most vulnerable students.  Students who have single caregivers, live in over crowded housing or experiencing homelessness are falling behind their more privileged peers.  Help close the learning gap by volunteers to tutor students at a Community Learning Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00-12:00 or Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-2:30.  Volunteers are placed with 1 student or family group to minimize the risk of COVID-19.  Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for at least 1 day per week for a minimum of 3 months to assure consistency for our kids.  Interested?  Complete the volunteer interest form below and start changing lives today!

"The [literacy center] is the bomb.  I get lunch, play with friends and Ms. Arnold helps me with reading."
